Sarah Hunt- Owner
Sarah is a Buffalo native who has had a passion for activism and community organizing from a young age. Her volunteer and career experiences to date have given her a depth of skill and knowledge in political organizing, community outreach, volunteer management, fundraising and event planning. Sarah decided to launch Lucky 13 Consulting, LLC, in 2017, to put her drive and experience to work helping others raise money for a variety of worthy causes, candidates, and organizations.
In 2016, Sarah worked on the Amber Small for State Senate campaign as volunteer coordinator, where she gained important insights into the needs and nuances of a campaign. She currently volunteers with Western New York's Planned Parenthood affiliate, with which she also previously held a staff position. From 2014-2017, Sarah worked for New Era Cap Co. as the Creative Services Traffic Coordinator, before deciding to focus her energies back on activism and organizing with the launch of her own company. She also has previous experience working in development and fundraising as an intern for the LGBT Center of Greater Cleveland, and for Cleveland's Planned Parenthood affiliate, in 2010 and 2011, respectively.
Sarah is also a member of WEPac, a political action committee that supports pro-choice women to run for elected office, and is a graduate of their development program, WomenElect. She has also taken community organizing and fundraising courses with Eleanor's Legacy (New York, NY), and The Coalition for Economic Justice (Buffalo, NY).
Sarah graduated from the College of Wooster (Wooster, OH) in 2012, with her B.A. in Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies, and went on to earn her M.B.A from Canisius College (Buffalo, NY) in 2014, with a concentration in marketing.
